3. LOVE THE HUMAN HABIT
Renowned psychologist, Virginia Satir once said that the most powerful resources of the human is to maintain the habit. We have a natural tendency to reject changes, especially radical.
If the temperature suddenly dropped 20 degrees, or the blood acidity down a few PH, we will
died instantly. Body and brain we have the control to maintain balance called 'homeostasis'.
When we are experiencing a change, then the sensors 'habit' in our neural network system will warn the brain and body will take action to return to stable conditions. This may explain why many people tried to change but returned to his old habits.
So, when you are determined to change, it is normally in the early phase had gone smoothly,
until it reaches the threshold / sensor2 habit earlier. So that there is resistance, both from body or mind. It must be recognized and accepted as part of change. After that,
when the new equilibrium has been reached, then you will feel the 'point of no return'
that thoughts and feelings that remind you of the previous condition is no longer disturb you. That means you have succeeded.
